“Jungle Gyms”

     As the Crossfit and Bootcamp craze continues to grow, the places that house these programs are slowly changing. The crowded machine filled buildings no longer are useable. Having to remove machines to allow for large open areas for functional training is needed.
     This was a cool article I ran across. I loved the image of the “Jungle Gym.” I would love to have access to these adult playgrounds.

Best Cardio Workout

     I have found that the best cardio workout for me has simply been keeping up with my 6 year old son. He loves to play and he loves to play with his dad. We play sports, chase, wrestle, go to indoor play area, etc.
     We recently went to AZ Airworx again. We were playing and jumping for two hours straight. I have new respect for those that perform on trampolines. All the practice and actually doing the performances has got to be tough on the body. I guess maybe in time I would get use to it and it would not be as hard. But going for two hours of jumping plus I ran us over in our jogging stroller. Two miles there and two miles back. I was just beat.
     Great exercise. Quality bonding time. A win/win situation. Get your kids together and get to having fun and a healthier lifestyle.

New Drink

     I have found a blog where there are posts from Hobbie Call. The guy that has been leading the Spartan charts for a number of years. So I thought I would check out his energy drink he likes to drink. I will have to report back what I think of it.

Here’s what it has:
–10-16 oz. Water
–2 Tbsp. Raw Honey
–2 tsp. Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar
–1 tsp. Pines Beet Juice Powder
–1 emergen-c packet
–Ice cubes. Drink tastes best when cold.

     If you want to make it in the morning but drink it later in the day, just put it in a thermos with 4 or 5 ice cubes and it will stay fresh all day.
     The honey, apple cider vinegar, and beet juice powder individually have great health benefits. Emergen-c is also pretty good. But combined, it makes for one remarkable drink that your body will love.
